When you’re depressed, it helps to know that there is someone by your side who is caring, compassionate and who understands what you are going through. Guess what? The best person for that job is you!
When you’re feeling down, be compassionate and patient with yourself. Treat yourself gently, as you would a good friend. Give yourself time and space to get through the tough times.
Remember, you have survived hard times before; and, as you treat yourself with TLC, you will get through this rough patch, too.

Look closely at the world around you and see beauty in every direction. Listen to the harmony and rhythm of life’s sounds.
Give yourself the powerful, refreshing and energizing gift of pure joy. Give yourself a moment, or even longer if you wish, and just feel the incomparable joy of being alive.
Feel the warmth of bright sunshine, the coolness of running water, the rush of a breeze on your skin. Take a long, deep relaxing breath of fresh air.
Experience the overwhelming richness and wonder of the beautiful reality that spreads out in every direction. Let go of any expectations, judgments or analyses, and allow yourself to peacefully experience it all as it comes to you.
For a little while, set aside your planning, organizing, adjusting and responding, and give yourself time to simply experience and enjoy. The moments spent in pure enjoyment, free of guilt, anxiety or expectations, will add richness to your life in ways that nothing else can.
Take some time to let yourself experience pure, unconditional joy. Bring more fully to life the joyful treasure that is life itself.
Ralph Marston

Praise is like a muscle;
if we don't exercise it regularly, it becomes weak.
But if we flex and extend an attitude of gratitude daily,
praise grows into a strong,
praise grows into a strong,
dependable force that nurtures hope
and carries us through the worst of circumstances.
Ever feel like a cloud is hanging over your head?
Sometimes the cloud darkens to the color of bruises,
and we're deluged with cold rain that seem to never end.
When you're in the midst of one of life's thunderstorms,
tape this saying to your mirror:
Cry a river, laugh a rainbow. The rainbow, the symbol of hope that God
gave Noah after the flood.
It reminds us even today that
every storm will eventually pass.
Laughter is to hope as nonstick cooking spray
is to a shiny new muffin tin:
It keeps the goo from sticking.
It keeps the goo from sticking.
Once the batter of everyday
responsibility hardens and adheres to our attitudes,
it's awfully hard to scrape off enough crust
responsibility hardens and adheres to our attitudes,
it's awfully hard to scrape off enough crust
for hope to shine through.
But if we coat our day with a little laughter ,
problems will slide off a lot better.
And hope sparkles.
By the end of the day
most of us are ready to collapse.
Tight schedules, relentless deadlines,
Tight schedules, relentless deadlines,
and plaguing debts make our daily roads
not just physically tiring but mentally draining.
Fill your buckets with living water -
read the Bible, listen to uplifting music,
soak up some inspiration any way available.
It is then you will enjoy some of life's
refreshment and feel better.
Always look forward.
Always move forward.
Keep that two-stranded rope strong,
and never lose hope
of a better tomorrow.
Husband and wife had a FIGHT.
Wife called up her mom and said,
"He fought with me again, I am coming to live with you."
Mom said,
"No darling, he must pay for his mistake.
I am coming to live with you.”
